Esther Musila Slams Age Critics: "I May Be Older, But I’m a Fine Girl!"

Guardian Angel and Esther Musila

Gospel star Guardian Angel, 33, and his wife Esther Musila, 54, have become one of Kenya’s most talked-about couples, and for good reason. With a 20-year age difference, their relationship has faced intense scrutiny, especially from those who can’t seem to wrap their heads around their unusual love story. But Musila isn’t holding back—she’s proudly clapping back at critics and embracing her happiness.

In a recent, no-holds-barred TikTok session, Esther addressed her detractors who love to point out her age, some even comparing her to a mother figure for Guardian Angel.

"Why Didn’t He Marry You?"

In a moment of sass, Esther took a swipe at her critics, saying, “Yes, I’m ‘mzee’ (old), but I’m fine… Fine girl!” She continued with a fierce question for her haters: "To all those out there insulting me, why didn’t my husband choose you? Why didn’t he marry you when you were so young and beautiful?"

With this one-liner, Esther left no stone unturned, shutting down trolls with a reminder that her husband chose her, and she’s thriving with him.

"People Hate Because They Can’t Have What I Have"

Esther also shared her shock at the level of online toxicity she’s encountered since marrying Guardian. “Until I married Guardian, I didn’t know how toxic people could be. Why are people so jealous of others? What do they gain from insulting people?” she questioned, pointing out the jealousy she believes fuels the backlash against her.

She went on to challenge the audacity of those calling her “old.” “These people who call me old—will they not grow old too? Are they immune? They hate me because they can’t have what I have.”

Finding Happiness in a New Chapter

Esther’s perspective on love seems to have evolved over the years. In a recent interview, she opened up about how much more she enjoys being a wife this time around compared to her first marriage.

In my first marriage, I got married young, and it felt more like I was fulfilling obligations for other people. But now, I genuinely love being a wife, and I’m grateful to Guardian for allowing me to embrace this role fully,” she revealed.

Esther Musila’s defiance and self-confidence have sparked mixed reactions online, but one thing’s clear: she’s not letting ageist critics steal her joy. This is one love story that’s here to stay!
