Her feline friend has helped her keep her heart open, despite her recent romantic woes. “If I’m ever lucky enough to be in a romantic relationship again, it will be because of him (Yoyo),” she quipped. "I was ready to close that door and lock it, but he made sure my heart stayed open."

The Lupita-Joshua romance started with a bang in late 2023, when the pair were first spotted holding hands at a Janelle Monáe concert. A few months later, they went full-on PDA in Mexico while celebrating Lupita’s 41st birthday, and the internet couldn’t get enough of them. Even Joshua’s ex-wife, actress Jodie Turner-Smith, publicly gave her blessing, hoping their new romance would bring peace to her co-parenting relationship with Joshua.
