Director Trevor Opens Up About Regrets Over Public Relationship with Mungai Eve

In a candid and somewhat shocking revelation, Director Trevor, the ex-boyfriend of YouTube sensation Mungai Eve, has admitted that publicizing their relationship was one of his biggest regrets. The famed content creator and director shared that constant public scrutiny, especially from well-known critic Andrew Kibe, took a serious toll on him—even though he tried to put on a brave face.

"Did I Regret It? Absolutely!"

During an exclusive interview with Oga Obinna, Trevor opened up when a fan asked if he ever regretted bringing his relationship with Mungai Eve into the public eye. Without hesitation, Trevor confessed, “At some point, yes, I did feel that way, but in life, you can't choose what comes with it.

What really stung, Trevor explained, was when Kibe started dragging him and his relationship without knowing the full story. “There was a time I wished I hadn’t gone public, especially when Andrew Kibe was criticizing me,” Trevor said, admitting that the harsh commentary hit him harder than most people realized.

Andrew Kibe's Criticism: The Straw That Broke the Camel's Back?

Trevor revealed that Kibe’s relentless criticism of his relationship with Mungai Eve often felt personal and unfair. “Initially, Kibe’s criticism really affected me. He would run my story without knowing the facts,” Trevor shared, adding that the critiques painted him in a light that didn’t reflect the reality of their relationship.

Interestingly, Trevor gave a shout-out to another online commentator, Edgar Obare, for at least attempting to get both sides of the story. “At least Edgar used to ask for my side,” he said, throwing some shade at Kibe’s one-sided approach.

Breaking Point and Moving On

By February 2024, Trevor officially announced their breakup after months of keeping it under wraps. The couple, once seen as a power duo in the Kenyan entertainment scene, had kept their relationship problems private to protect their brand. But after parting ways with Mungai Eve, Trevor admitted he has moved on and is now in a new relationship.

While he’s clearly relieved to have stepped away from the limelight surrounding his relationship with Eve, Trevor’s regrets show that being a public figure in a high-profile romance isn’t all sunshine and roses.

The moral of the story? Sometimes love—and the internet—can burn you in ways you never see coming.
